In addition to Château Valandraud, Jean-Luc Thunevin is also owner of several other estates in Saint Emilion and in the South-west of France.
The vines are tended in all the estates with the same care and the same
techniques as that made Château Valandraud successful.
Ch. Bel Air Ouÿ, Ch. Prieuré Lescours, Clos Badon Thunevin, Dom. Calvet Thunevin
Château Bel Air Ouÿ, Saint Emilion Grand Cru
Following the purchase of Château Bel Air Ouÿ near Saint-Etienne de Lisse, Jean-Luc Thunevin vinified the first vintage in 1999. The vineyard is located on a great clayey limestone terroir next to Fleur Cardinale Grand Cru Saint-Emilion. The vines are carefully tended by Murielle and her team, exactly the same way as Chateau Valandraud.
The 2003 vintage won a silver medal at the Concours
de Bordeaux.
Château Prieuré Lescours, Saint Emilion Grand Cru
This chateau is located on the district of Saint-Sulpice de Faleyrens. Since the acquisition of this property in the spring 2001 by Jean-Luc Thunevin, Murielle realizes all the tasks in the vines.
The "chai" has undergone some major reconstruction to create a totally clean environment and wholesame in order to produce pure and elegant wines. The wine ages in new oak barrels like Chateau Valandraud.
Clos Badon Thunevin, Saint Emilion Grand Cru
In 1996, Jean-Luc Thunevin wanted to purchase the “Cru Classé” Curé Bon La Madeleine but the owner refused and sold it to the Chanel group in 1999/2000. Instead Jean-Luc bought Clos Badon, 6,5 hectares of vines located between “Larcis-Ducasse”, “Pavie”, parallel to “Canon La Gaffelière”. “Clos Badon” was classified as “Second Growth” by the Féret in the 19th century.
As with Château Valandraud, Jean-Luc Thunevin
covered the ground of some pieces of Clos Badon Thunevin in order
to improve the quality of the wine. As the INAO had made downgraded these
vineyard, Jean-Luc Thunevin baptized the wine L'Interdit de B... N T.....N.
Domaine Calvet Thunevin
2001 is the first vintage made out by Jean-Luc Thunevin and Jean-Roger Calvet, with whom he is associated in Languedoc Roussillon. They acquired this property in 2000, located on the splendid black schist soils of Maury and sign their first Côtes du Roussillon Village wine.
Since 2001, Domaine Calvet Thunevin produces three different cuvées: "Les Dentelles",Vin de Pays d'Oc;"Hugo", Côtes du Roussillon Village; "Constance", Vin de Pays des Côtes Catalanes.
